Heartland Motorsports Park prepares for the 25th annual Kicker Country Stampede

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – The biggest country music festival is set to have fans at Heartland Motorsports Park later this week.

We are only days away from the 25th annual Kicker Country Stampede held at Heartland Motorsports Park.

Thousands of country music fans will be racing into Heartland Motorsports Park this week.

“She had such a great upbringing. This is the 25th anniversary of the Kicker Country Stampede, ”said Travis Hilton. “I think what makes it special is the community itself and the opportunity to see everyone.”

Travis Hilton with Heartland Motorsports Park says country fans can expect a new setup this year.

“One situation we found ourselves in 2019 was that a lot of rain entered the facility in the run-up to the week of the event. We adjusted this by moving the main stage to the center of the property here, ”explained Hilton.

“We now have over 80 percent campsites for the platinum, gold and silver representatives – we will all be on asphalt or have grass nearby to park on. So we’ve mitigated many of these issues by bringing on the main lot that the watershed is much better built so that the water can drain away a little easier, ”added Hilton.

They also have more spaces for campers who want to arrive early.

“There is a rustic campsite on the northwest side of our property. that is available, that is dry camping only. There are no connections of any kind and they are still available, ”said Hilton.

They have also improved the roads and more than 30 generators will power the stage and other functions on the premises.

“The entire inside of the bowl we’re standing in here, the festival bowl will be a line of vendors doing everything from Kicker themselves,” said Hilton. “Budweiser has been a phenomenal sponsor of this whole ordeal and various fun games and things that the kids and the people can do when they are out here.”

Hilton says you’ll find transportation too: “For those concerned about walking long distances, there’s a wide variety of shuttle golf carts and vans to transport people.”

“There are designated places that everyone can go and what they can see, where they can be picked up. For anyone who might have had a drink or two while out here – God forbid we will also have pick up locations for all types of Lyft, Uber services outside of the property can get us to this location at any time. “

The Kicker Country Stampede runs Thursday through Sunday and campers can park from Monday.

Plus, Rush weekend ticket holders can view the Thunder Over The Heartland Air Show for free, which takes place at Heartland Park on Saturdays and Sundays.
