Italian job: up to 100 Minis will disembark at Halifax’s Piece Hall for the first UK rally

On October 17th, minis of all colors will move into the historic building, where the finish line of their rally awaits on the 6000 square meter piazza.

The event, which raises money for the children’s charity Buttle UK, is free and the organizers are calling on the public to support the event from 10am.

The Italian job rally, inspired by the classic 1969 film, has gathered mini and classic car enthusiasts across Italy for the past 30 years to raise money for charity.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, this year’s annual event swapped scenic views of Italy for the stunning Yorkshire landscapes, stopping at some of the region’s most picturesque travel destinations for three days.

Nicky Chance-Thompson, CEO of The Piece Hall, said: “We are very excited that The Piece Hall will host the finale of the UK’s first ‘Italian Job’ – a unique event to raise money for Buttle UK, a truly outstanding one Charity working to help children living in poverty across the UK.

“Piece Hall is a beautiful, Italian-inspired building surrounded by breathtaking Yorkshire countryside, making it the perfect setting for the finale. We look forward to welcoming families, movie fans, and classic car enthusiasts from across the country to celebrate the culmination of this spectacular event and to show our support for an incredible charity and those who have raised hard for such an important cause . “

Joseph Howes, CEO of charity Buttle UK, added: “These are particularly difficult times for families in difficulty and we know that the number of children living in poverty is increasing all the time.
