ONONDAGA COUNTY – After two wins at the start of the season Liverpool The girls’ tennis team suffered its first flaw of 2021 when they played West Geneese last Tuesday afternoon.

Otherwise, Eve Campitello defeated Hsar Eh Soe 6-3, 6-0, while Holly Costello defeated Eh Hso 7-5, 6-0. A double game was forfeited, but the teams of Autumn Brown-Megan Johnston, Golden Duru-Megan Mieves and Isabella Nolan-Mackenzie Wessels lost only one game in six combined sets.
When C-NS returned to Baldwinsville on Thursday, they lost the same 6-1 lead over the Bees, spared a shutout when Brown and Mieves teamed up and overcame a shutout in the first set, to Audrey Benton and Ella Tromblee 0 -6 to beat, 6-4, 6-3.
None of the Northstars trios Costello, Meghan Obleman and Jaila Killingbeck managed to win a game in their individual games. Campitello and Johnston lost 6-1, 6-3 to Reagan Doan and Julia Quinn, with Wessels teaming up with Alicia Tow and Wessels working with Isabella Nolan to collect straight-set losses.
