The Astros are 2-0 in the playoffs when Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale brings in nuns of the Dominican Sisters of Mary Immaculate Province. That’s the kind of streak that you don’t tinker with.

McIngvale announced Monday that he bought 55 tickets for the nuns to play in Game 1 of the Astros-Braves World Series at Minute Maid Park on Tuesday evening.

McIngvale put the Nuns in the Coca-Cola suite above midfield for Game 1 of the American League Championship Series against the Red Sox, and the Astros rallied late for victory. After that win, people called them the “Rally Nuns,” so McIngvale brought 60 of them back for Game 6 on Friday, which the Astros won to advance to the World Series.

“Since we won Game 1, everyone has been asking me if I can bring the Sisters back for another game,” McIngvale said ahead of Friday’s game. “They are a great group. They love the Astros and they are great fun so I knew we had to bring them back for another big win when we got back to the World Series.”

Sister Mary Catherine was a particularly big hit at Friday’s game as she was selected to throw the ceremonial first pitch and mimicked Carlos Correa’s “It’s Time” celebration by pointing to her wrist.

“I did this because this is Astros time, this is our time, this is it,” said Mary Catherine.
