Star driver Baldev Singh Chager is the winner of the tenth edition of the East African Safari Classic Rally (EASCR), which ended in Watamu on Friday.
The multiple Kenya National Rally Championship winner clocked a time of 16:40:10.6 after the final 24th stage, winning the nine-day competition after leading for eight straight days.
Patrik Sandell of Sweden clocked 16:47:54.5, beating Hall of Famer Ian Duncan into second place.
Duncan settled for third place in 17:12:12.4.
All 48 riders have been on the road for the past nine days, battling fiercely for the top gong, which will be rewarded this afternoon at the pristine Ocean Sports Hotel in the seaside town.

Chager made history with his remarkable consistency in the world’s toughest motorsport figurehead.
On Thursday he extended his lead over second-placed compatriot Ian Duncan from seven to 12 minutes after posting 21 15:11:44.9 in the final stage.
Defending champion Kris Rosenberger of Austria was seventh and American YouTube sensation Ken Block was 16th.
Other Kenyans in the top ten include Lee Rose and Douglas McNeil (fourth), Piers Daykin (fifth) and Gavin Laurence (ninth).
