Five-time Safari Rally Champion Carl Tundo demonstrated his authority behind the wheels and emerged as the overall winner on day one of Saturday’s first rallycross in Machakos County.
Tundo, known as Flash, rebounded from a slow start into Heat 1 where he finished second behind Tim Jessop in the Champions race to win Heats 2 and 3, giving him a commanding lead when he finished on Sunday went into the last day of the event.

Jessop and Baldev Charger and Joseph Bengi ensured it was a close fight for Tundo, with the ultimate winner to be crowned on Sunday.
It was a poor tenure for Team KBC who were forced out of the race in Heat 1 after their car broke down.

Trouble for Team KBC after Newcaster legend Pauline Sheghu overturned on Lap 1 of Lasies Race 1 and luckily escaped unhurt.
Although the car was repaired and ready to return to action, it withdrew again during the junior race as it developed mechanical problems while John Kadivane had only just started racing.

Recently crowned wrc 3 Safari Rally Champion Maxine Wahome ruled the women’s event.
Fans attending the event were treated to an enticing race and had to contend with dust and chilly weather to catch a glimpse of the best rally drivers in action.
The two-day event in the format of a Formula 1 race track is organized by the rally gurus Tundo and Jessop.
