Up to Speed: October 22-23, 2022

A range of British Championship action, including the conclusion of the inaugural British Endurance Championship, takes center stage in another weekend of motorsport in Britain.

Let us update you:

British Endurance Championship – Donington Park (GP)

With no more point losses to consider, Donington Park will host a blockbuster season one finale of the British Endurance Championship.

Chris Goddard and Charlie Hollings currently lead by 144 points in their RNR Performance powered Ferrari 458, just two points ahead of Wayne Marrs and Tom Jackson in the Rob Boston Racing prepared Mercedes-AMG GT3.

The two race in different classes and are regularly on the top step of their respective podiums. The Ferrari is set for perhaps a tougher opponent ‘in its class’ so maintaining that winning form will be crucial for Goddard and Hollings to lift the coveted crown.

Third overall and poised to strike should misfortune befall the two teams ahead, the MKH Racing Aston Martin GT4 is in the hands of Peter Montague and Stuart Hall.

British Drift Pro Championship – Snetterton

Ollie Evans looks destined to claim the 2022 Motorsport UK Drift Pro Championship crown at Snetterton this weekend, with a 70-point lead en route to the Norfolk venue.

Evan’s next challenge is Josh King – winner last time at Brands Hatch – and he will be hoping to repeat his performance to take second place overall, just 10 more points ahead of third-placed Lwi Edwards.

Also on the bill at Snetterton this weekend is the TCR UK Touring Car Championship Final with Chris Smiley, the Team UK competitor for the Touring Car discipline at the 2022 FIA Motorsport Games, heading into the weekend level with Isaac Smith at the Championship Summit.
