On the Dutch TV programs, Max Verstappen received many congratulations from his compatriots on his phenomenal performance. Verstappen won his first Formula 1 title and former F1 drivers and drivers from other series congratulated him en masse.
Praise for Verstappen
In a tweet Ziggo sports posts a collage of various drivers who have taken the trouble to congratulate the Dutchman on his first world title in Formula 1. The start is made by Arie Luyendijk, known from the curve on the Circuit Zandvoort. The two-time Indy 500 winner describes his compatriot’s performance as incredible. He also took the time to thank and congratulate von Verstappen’s parents.
It is followed by the nine-time Australian race winner Mark Webber. The former F1 driver experiences the bizarre season of the Red Bull Racing driver from a bird’s eye view: “Silverstone was wild, Baku was wild, Budapest was wild, Saudi Arabia was wild, Abu Dhabi was wild. You deserve it.”
